Reception and Banquet

We will host an opening night reception and banquet in the unparalleled surroundings of the , across from the University.

Qaumajuq (“it is bright, it is lit”) is the newest gallery and extension to the 丁香园AV Art Gallery. It is home to the largest collection of Inuit art in the world. Our opening night reception will take place in Ilavut (“our relatives,” the new entrance hall) around the three-story glass display case showing literally thousands of works of art from contemporary Inuit artists.

The banquet (May 16) will be held in the Art Gallery’s entrance hall, whose Tyndall-stones contain a fascinating fossilized display of local prehistoric denizens. In advance of the banquet, the galleries will be open free of charge to banquet attendees.
